Intentional Homeschooling: Smartick Math Review

math

Finding a math program that works for your kids can be challenging. That’s why we are so thrilled when we hear from families who see Smartick as a solution. Chantel from Intentional Homeschooling tells us the story of how her daughter went from crying over math to actually asking to practice daily on our program!

“Smartick is a little different than some other math programs because they give a 15 minute session instead of just letting kids answer as many questions as they want. The first day when Raeca wanted to do more than her allotted 15 minutes this kind of annoyed me, but then I realized that it helped her from getting burnt out on it and she actually looked forward to being able to do a little bit every day (this is the same girl that was crying and whining about having to do math nine months ago)” writes Chantel.

“I was pleasantly surprised to see how diverse and appropriate the math questions were for the kids. They were just difficult enough without overwhelming them.”

Smartick is designed in short daily sessions of 15 minutes, where children practice math at their own pace. Research has shown that 15 to 20 minutes is the maximum attention span in children in our target age group (4 to 14 years old). Knowing beforehand how long the sessions last also helps create a study routine. Children look forward to using our program and rarely experience burnout. Many get up and ask to complete their daily practice in the morning. Above all, they develop a positive attitude toward math and learning.

“The kids have enjoyed doing math so much more with Smartick than with worksheets or even other online programs”

Smartick offers a free trial during which your family can enjoy full access to the program. Click here to learn more!
