Smartick families come from all over the world. Today, we are excited to chat about one of our families from Florida! Gisel contacted the Smartick team earlier this summer to learn a bit more about the program. As a parent and teacher, she’s truly committed to her children’s learning. We are delighted that an education professional like Gisel trusts in Smartick. It’s always a pleasure to learn more about our families, and even more so when they also share a passion for education.

Gisel’s Smartick experience

How did you hear about Smartick?

I was researching online math programs that would adjust to kids abilities and not by grade level.

Why did you decide that Smartick would be beneficial for your children?

As a mom and a teacher, I instantly knew that this would be a program that we could implement in our daily routine without it becoming a drag. I like that it adjusted to my kids’ abilities and not their grade level. I also like that it is 15 minutes a day and the program keeps the kids’ attention. The tutorials are fun to watch for kids and go straight to the point. The tutorials show various ways to solve mathematical problems and the kids have opportunities to interact with the video while learning new concepts.

What do your children like most about Smartick?

They like that the program is fun and does not take a long time. The ticks that they earn keep them motivated. They ask to play the games at the end of the session too.

What do you as a mom like most about Smartick?

I like that it is easy to implement on a daily basis even if we are not home. I also like that my kids get to work at their individual level and not a set grade level. This program is challenging but does not frustrate children because it forces them to stop after 15 minutes.

I would like to see schools implementing this program in Florida. I don’t believe that it is advertised here enough to reach schools. When I told my kids’ teacher about Smartick, she did not know anything about it. I have shared it with all the parents in my kids’ class.
